THE BEGINNING
Founded in 1866, PCSB Bank is the fourth oldest financial institution in the state of Iowa. With a vision of being their community’s innovative bank that believes in its customers, PCSB Bank was the first area bank to have a walk-up teller window, followed by drive-up window. Providing innovative ways to conveniently serve their customers evolved beyond drive- up windows to ATMS and eventually ITMs after meeting DBE.
THE JOURNEY
PCSB Bank first met DBE while looking to gain efficiencies through technology. After getting to know the bank, what they stood for and what they were hoping to achieve, DBE showed PCSB Bank they could gain efficiency and expand service hours for their customers by evaluating different technology than they had originally intended.
In 2013, PCSB Bank and DBE officially began their partnership and deployed the first ITM not only in the state of Iowa but among the first in the nation, continuing PCSB’s tradition of ambitious and innovative projects to make banking easier for their customers.
The outcome
PCSB Bank and DBE built trust through the ITM project which grew into a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership. Because of their established ITM channel, PCSB was able to weather the pandemic and subsequent labor pressures. Today the bank has 13 ITMs installed across their seven branches. PCSB continues to evaluate new ways to gain additional efficiencies and give their customers more ways to engage with the bank through the ITM channel.
