Founded in 1968 by two banking industry service technicians that believed they could provide a better customer service experience to Financial Institutions in Iowa.
Wally Geiger purchases DBE from its original owners, continuing the tradition of independent ownership.
DBE forms our pivotal partnership with Glory, evolving our expertise and support of Cash Automation Technology. Today, DBE is Glory’s largest reseller partner in the United States.
DBE moved from 2nd Ave in Des Moines to the current headquarters in Urbandale, IA.
DBE installs our first client ATM, beginning one of our most defining sales and service offerings of our present-day organization almost 30 years later.
DBE partners with Global Banking Technoloy leader NCR, ensuring we deliver the best physical and digital technology to our clients. NCR & DBE celebrate 30 years of successful partnership in 2023.
As banking transactions, consumer behavior and technology evolve in the early 2000’s, DBE installs our first Teller Cash Recycler. Today, DBE is Glory’s largest reseller partner in the United States.
As ATM capabilities expanded, so did DBE’s ability to meet the sales and service needs of our clients. DBE continued our trend of mastering cutting edge banking automation technology for our clients.
Toby Geiger purchased DBE from his father, Wally Geiger, on December 27, 2012.
DBE’s first NCR Interactive Teller Machine was installed at PCSB Bank in October of 2013 in Clarinda, Iowa.
The inaugural DBE Forum is held. The event has grown to 200 + community financial clients, DBE team members & industry partners with a full line up of speakers, networking & product demonstrations.
Recognizing the need for expanded remote diagnostic and patch support for our clients, DBE launched our in-house remote services product, Encompass Remote Services to product 360-degree coverage.
DBE’s 300th ITM was installed in May 2020 at Cobalt Credit Union in Omaha, NE.
On December 30, 2020, DBE acquired Welch Systems, Inc. out of Peoria, IL growing territory and client coverage to include Illinois and Indiana.
On December 30, 2021, DBE acquired Technique Data Systems (TDS) headquartered in Rockwall, TX. With this acquisition, DBE expanded its territory coverage to include 14 states.
2021 & 2022
NCR named DBE their global winner for out of the box, creative problem solving through technology for 2021 & 2022.
On April 1, 2022, DBE acquired Oppliger Banking Systems Inc. (OBS) headquartered in Olathe, KS. This acquisition grew DBE’s footprint by adding onto existing coverage in Kansas and Missouri.
DBE’s 500th ITM was installed in June 2023 at Premier Credit Union in Des Moines, IA.
NCR announces a new banking channel platform, CSP, and DBE is the first NCR Channel Partner to sell the solution for Interactive along with additional Enhanced Self-Service capabilities.
