(DBE) was founded in 1968 by two banking industry service technicians that believed they could provide a better customer service experience to Financial Institutions in Iowa. In the early 1980’s, we took our customer service mindset beyond community banking to include supporting lumber yards and local home center and building supply stores.
We believed both banking and local building supply centers were the foundation of our communities. Both helping our towns thrive through their roles in local economies and building of residential and commercial infrastructure. Over 55 years later, DBE is still independently owned and focused on reliable customer service. DBE is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa supporting local businesses in the Midwest and South.
